in the 60’s music became very unique and it started having more unsual sounds and ways to make music. The “wah-wah” pedal to make a in and out distorted and psychedelic sound to the guitar. Jimi Hendrix was one of the many people that used this in some songs like “voodoo child” and he also used It in his famous Woodstock performance. Songs started having more instruments in it. The Beatles and Led Zeppelin was a few bands that did this. The beatles in there later years started putting weird and unusual instruments in it like in the song “Lucy in the sky of diamonds” a song made for a picture that John Lennons son made.  Led Zeppelin in most of their song they had a lot of music and less lyrics or the lead singer Robert Plant would made notes with his voice and drag them. One of there songs “whole lotta love” is a very good example of this. In the 60s music changed a lot unlike  the 50,s they stopped using traditional sound and amps and started using distortion and guitar pedals and microphone sounds making the singer echo and distorted. Rock and roll became so different and bigger then ever. The British invasion came to America and transformed music even more. Bands like The Beatles, The Yardbirds, The Zombies, The Who, the kinks, The Rolling Stones, The Troggs and The Animals were some of the famous bands from the invasion and those bands brought and new style to music in America.

Music Is Life.

My name is Brett Sharp. I go to diamond oaks vocational school for pre-engineering. This is welding and precise machining. I’m 17 years old and I turn 18 in November. Music has evolved in many ways and my blog will tell you everything about the change in music and the mile stones and the big things that really changed music like when Jimi Hendrix and Peter Frampton made there guitars talk like humans. When Jimmy Page used a violin bow on his guitar and made a new and great sound dragging out the cords. Ever since I was kid music was a very important thing to me. It helped me deal with the rough times in life like when my grandpa died and when my great grandparents died.  When my grandpa died it showed me a whole new genre of music. I started listening to classics and older music. It all started with led zeppelin. That was his favorite band and it’s now my favorite band.  I love all types of music but 70s and 60s music is my all-time favorite. For some people music is there place to get away, how they solve their problems. Some people do drugs or go out and drink there sorrows away. But I sit at home, listen to music and make songs and do something that is meaning full for me. That actually helps me. When I play music it makes me feel good and alright and it helps me when I’m down for when something bad happens. Good music isn’t made by cool lyrics or cool beat, good music is made by meaning and true feelings and real situations. “Every rose has its thorn” by Poison was made because the woman that he loved left him and so he made a song about the heart break he experienced.  Sometimes to make good music you have to go through something tragic or have a real honest connection to it. Making music is not just an art form but a story. I don’t like reading books, but I like listening to music it tells me a story about the band or a person in the band and it really shows how they feel or how it affected them. Music is more than you think it is. Music is feelings into a beat and into lyric. My blog will tell you everything that I have a connection to in music and not just how it changed the music world, but how it changed me as well.
